Our arts eco markets feature lots of local handmade products, clothes, jewellery, plants and art
plus... kids space, eco-village tours, local musicians and entertainers, arts workshops, yummy food and more
Market enquiries
The Spirit of these unique community markets is connection, vibrancy and fair- trading.
Products are made, grown or recycled by a diversity of stall-holders with a commitment to the environment, people and culture.
The Arts Eco Market is held quarterly on site with broad community involvement. The market is part funded by the City of Onkaparinga.

The Arts Eco Market works with the following principles:
COMMUNITY= collectively managed and run by eco village residents and landowners and local community.
CONNECTION = more than just a place to spend money, a place to meet people, socialise and network.
VIBRANCY= a colourful and fun environment offering a celebration of a broad variety of things to buy, see and do including music, performance and activities.
FAIR TRADING = reasonably priced products, reasonably priced stall fees, LETS, trading and sharing. Consultation and dialogue with surrounding markets.
MADE = food, artwork, furniture, toys, clothes
GROWN = plants, fibres, fruit and vegies
RECYCLED = second hand and re-used items
ENVIRONMENT = commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable products, no plastic bags (cloth or singlet bags available), water aware, disposal of recycled and non-recycled rubbish
PEOPLE = child, disability and age friendly with a commitment to ethical production standards.
CULTURE = respect to cultural diversity, indigenous culture and land, inclusion of indigenous locals in planning and running the market. A commitment to the trade of Australian products. Embracing local cultural identity of the Aldinga, surrounding areas and the eco village cultural community.
The Arts Eco Market aims to:
• produce a professional and high quality market event
• attract local and state-wide visitors including potential land buyers to the village
• provide a platform for village residents and local community to sell their made, grown and recycled products
• share the knowledge and uniqueness of AAEV with the community, highlighting the our focus on permaculture and the arts
• share skills and form bonds by involving villagers and community members in the establishment and running of a diverse community celebratory event
• promote the village, its practice and landowners individual practice
• invite people to spend money providing an income for stall-holders, the ongoing Market and AAEV
