Co-owner of Lot 59 at 10 Hakea Walk:

Melissa is a jeweller whose workspace exists within a classic wooden “gypsy” caravan. The van has been recycled for this purpose and is completely refurbished inside. It is placed on the proposed artist studio site within the village.

Melissa PuustMelissa graduated from the University of South Australia in 1991 and also taught part time in the jewellery department there for 7 years. Her van has benchspace to accommodate 4 people at a time and she will be conducting small classes in silver jewellery making at request.

She currently is producing two ranges of work. One is her collection of unique belt buckles. The belt buckles are formed by various layers of coloured metals, sometimes including found objects, and are often illustrative. They are produced as limited editions or sometimes as a one-off order. Images of these can be viewed at the website www.uniquebeltbuckles.com

Melissa also creates jewellery pieces through her business TEMPLE. These jewellery pieces are combinations of sterling silver and semi-precious stones and sell through selected retail outlets in Australia. There is a small display of this work inside the ‘Gypsy Van”.

Melissa can be contacted via email or mobile 0429 190 600.
