Little people, campfires and lanterns

Our village Playgroup children and parents had a
special morning this week.
With much thanks to Toby we had a little people's fire and had a beautiful play morning outside in the warm sunshine. What a warming community experience it was. Toby also brought over spuds for the fire for all the children to share and some bananas in their skins too. Great stuff!
We then lit our little lanterns and proceeded with our beautiful little song around the fire. After this the spuds were ready and we sat in celebration that this was our home that we were all able to share together around the fire, with such little people who know no other life than this one that they experienced today. We exclaimed how good it is to get back to the basics all together, and have decided that we will have another outside campfire morning on a sunny day next term. Aaahhh.what a life...what a privileged life it is. I give thanks for this freedom and peace.
So this Saturday Solstice night we all get to share in a lantern walk with the children, so bring your lanterns - or a small candle will do. We will gather from 5pm and the lantern walk will start at 5.30pm. Our song has an easy little tune so please hum along if you don't know the words. Look forward to sharing this with us all then.
