A major new suburban development is being
proposed for the area between the Victor Harbour
Road turnoff and Main South Road. It appears to
be grossly insensitive to the agri-tourism and
heritage values of our region.
If you care about these values, you are encouraged to go and comment at the Fairmont website at the link below. It only takes a minute or so to complete.
Make sure to tick ‘No’ to the first question. Doesn’t matter much what you say to the rest, but you could use the Southern Community Coalition submission (ATTACHED) as a guideline for your comments.
In particular you could consider asking for 100m buffers between the main tourist routes and any development, and you could oppose the location of the commercial zone (in blue, along Main South Road) altogether.
