Solstice Party - What a great night!

Wow - what a great Solstice Party last Saturday. What a fantastic night it was!  Next biggest to Christmas!

Don’t we have some wonderful talents in our Village. The entertainment was superb - a thrilling exposition of community fun!

Jane’s Lantern Walk was beautiful - enjoyed by all the walkers (even those few folks who managed to get mislaid off the back of the chain far too early in the night to blame the mulled wine).

Jesse and Karen’s fire dancing blew us all away - fantastic - and the music events from “Singergy” and Josh Spier added to the warm community atmosphere of the night and put icing on the “enjoyment cake.”

Karri and her stall team did an excellent job with the cakes, chai, etc. Yum! And the teens fire busking and violin busking proved, if we were not already convinced, that we have serious talents in all Village age groups

Finally - and most importantly - very special thanks to the “behind-the-scenes” workers who set up the party beforehand and cleared up on Sunday morning - in particular, Michael O’Connell, and also Marcus, Paul W, Stefan G and also others. Special thanks to the set-up crew for dealing so cheerfully with the annoyances of electricity and plumbing!
