Change to Neighbour consultation for building

The Building Development Circle (BDC) advises that changes have been made to the requirements associated with Neighbourhood Consultation.

This has been explained on the Building page of the Village website at:
http://www.aaev.net/management/bdc/index.html
A consultation map is included (accessed via a link in italics in the text).

Feedback on the map can be sent to Adrian O by email.

Note: The BDC meets on the third Thursday of the month. For enquiries regarding submissions, contact Adrian Oakey as above.

Install an independent water pressure controller

Use of Rainbank Controller for water pumps:

It has come to my attention that people have either installed a Daveys Rainbank Controller or are being advised to buy one by the pump dealer to allow swap over between mains and tank water. The Rainbank controller requires mains pressure to operate and actually uses mains until the flow is more than 1.5 litres per minute. This means that if the village pump is not working then neither will your own pump which is not a good idea

Make sure that you get an independent pressure controller for your pump. I would advise manual change over if you need it. Please refer to the Water Document on the AAEV web site for information on the ways to configure your water systems. See:

Water tank setup for dual supply

The ATTACHED set of diagrammatic instructions for setting up a dual water supply through your rainwater tank was originally handed out at the 2nd AGM of the Community Corporation.

As copies seem to have become very scarce, I have scanned it into a PDF file and also posted it on the BDC Documents page at:

Important reminder from the BDC

Please note:

An application needs to go to the BDC for ANY BUILDING ON YOUR LOT. This includes your house, house alterations, sheds, studios and fencing (except for fencing on the side and rear boundaries that is less than 1.8 metres high and made of wire mesh and/or vegetation).

Any built structure proposed for COMMON LAND requires an application to the General Meeting. Detailed plans and a motion for approval need to be sent to the Secretary, Richard Clampett, to be placed on the agenda for the next General Meeting.

Thank you for your co-operation. If you have any queries please phone Sue Eltahir on 8556 6441.
